Terms of Service

Last updated October 26, 2026

These terms apply to businesses that use LineAnswer. Your signed agreement or order form, if you have one, takes priority over these terms where they differ.

1. The service

LineAnswer provides AI voice agents that answer your business's phone calls, answer questions using the information you provide, and complete the workflows agreed with you, such as booking appointments, taking restaurant orders, sending SMS messages, and updating connected systems.

The specific workflows, integrations, languages, and settings for your agent are agreed with you before setup.

2. Plans, minutes, and overage

Each plan includes a set number of call minutes and workflows per month, as shown on our pricing page. Minutes used beyond your plan are charged at $0.50 per minute. When you reach your limit, you can choose to keep the agent answering or pause it.

Plans can be billed monthly or annually where offered. Enterprise plans are quoted individually.

3. Setup fees and upgrades

A one-time setup fee applies to each plan and covers integration with your existing software, training the agent on your business knowledge, deployment, and testing, including phone forwarding setup.

If you upgrade to a higher plan, you pay only the difference between the two setup fees. Promotional pricing applies only as described in the offer.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your service continues until the end of your current billing period, then stops.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business information and keep it up to date, so the agent's answers stay correct.
  • Give callers any notices and obtain any consents required by law for AI-answered or recorded calls.
  • Make sure you have the right to connect the systems and share the data you give us access to.
  • Use the service lawfully, and not for unsolicited marketing, harassment, deception, or emergency services.
  • Pay any charges from your phone provider for call forwarding or related features.

6. AI limitations

AI agents can make mistakes, misunderstand callers, or give incomplete answers. We configure and test each agent and limit the actions it can take, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free. You should review important bookings, orders, and records, and define when calls should be transferred to a person.

LineAnswer is not a substitute for emergency services. Callers with an emergency should contact 911.

7. Privacy and data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including caller information we process on your behalf. Call recordings are stored for 14 days, and recording can be disabled on request.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available around the clock, but it depends on third-party telephony, hosting, and AI providers and may occasionally be interrupted. We may update the service and these terms; we will let customers know about material changes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, LineAnswer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost bookings, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

11. Questions

If you have questions about these terms, reply to any email you have received from us or use the Book a live demo form.
